Social media is full of videos where people often play around with snakes, and then end up with suitable consequences. There might be more instances in the real world, but on the internet, at least, the times when a snake went into full attack mode are quite rare. So widening the list, a video of a snake doing exactly the same was shared on social media, which instantly went viral. The video was being recorded by a man, who was mowing his lawn in Australia. The man slowed down his machine after he spotted the reptile just lying on the grass. With the intention of giving the snake a chance to slither away, the man patiently waited for it to move. However, the entire thing took a U-turn, when the snake went into full attack mode and began to move towards the machine at full speed with half its body up in the air.
The video was shared on the social media site Instagram, by the handle ‘takemetoaustralia’. The post was captioned, “Anyone else enjoys mowing the lawn on a fresh spring evening?”

The video instantly went viral and the netizens had a lot to add. Most called it a dangerous situation, while others prioritised their family and said that they would have acted in self-defence if the snake attacked instead of running away. The video was shared four days ago and pulled 310K views from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Whew see no evil cuz the ants would have something to eat,” a user said. “The operator hesitation is puzzling.. my Ferris mows at 12mph and it stops for no one,” said a second. “Straight through the mower, sorry,” commented a third person. “That is probably what will happen to me. I imagine spinning up around my neck,” added a fourth user. “Snake wants to move to the ‘find out’ stage,” said another. “Snakes don't normally bother me but that would be a no from me,” added a sixth netizen. “Nah I live in Aus and I understand they are protected but if I was in that situation it’d be straight through the mower. It’s the snake or my family so,” added another.
