When Russian President Vladimir Putin landed in Delhi for his first visit to India in four years, all eyes were on the grand welcome. There was a red carpet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi breaking protocol to greet him on the tarmac, a firm handshake, and even a warm hug. Everyone thought they would ride in super-fancy cars, like the usual black Range Rover or the giant Mercedes. But no! The car waiting for them was a simple white Toyota Fortuner. Yes, just a normal-looking SUV! This same Fortuner had already carried India’s Defence Minister and a top Russian leader a few months ago. Now it was back for the big bosses.

People started guessing, "Did Modi choose a Japanese car on purpose?" Because Britain and Germany (the homes of Range Rover and Mercedes) are angry with Russia right now. Using their cars might have looked a little strange. But the real reason was super simple and funny.

Why Toyota Fortuner Over Other SUVs?

The Range Rover is very cool, but it has only two rows of seats. Two leaders and two interpreters, and no space. The Toyota Fortuner has three rows. Both countries’ security teams checked and said, "Yes, this car is perfect."While this was the one reason, other reasons could be that the Toyota Fortuner is neither a European nor an American car. Secondly, there was only Hindi and Russian language on the banner (no English language).

So the white Fortuner quietly became the star of the day, not because it was the most expensive, but because it was the smartest and most comfortable choice. A simple Indian-road SUV just gave two powerful presidents a smooth, happy ride and stole everyone’s heart.

Social Media Reaction:

"Toyota is one of the most trusted Japanese vehicle brands, one that is used widely in security details and as VIP vehicles too," a user wrote. "If you can notice these small things like using a non-luxury car by PM Modi and Putin, then my friend, you are a genius," a second user added. "And Toyota is a Japanese brand but Fortuner is assembled in India," wrote a third user.

"Do you really think these points matter? What I observed was most of the action of PM with Putin to get the best camera angle and the best snap. He was doing similar during his visit to China. West's focus will be on the development going to happen tomorrow. What do you think?" added a fourth user.
