"Don't you know that a man being rich is like a girl being pretty?" is a famous dialogue by the iconic actor Marilyn Monroe, which spoke of the theory of women choosing 'rich men' and men choosing 'pretty women'. No matter how troublesome the ideology is, it is still quite a famous line that people often recall. Perhaps, that is the reason why a woman took it so seriously and decided to pick partners based on their pay grade.
A post shared on the Twitter handle with the name Squint Neon showed a screengrab of a confession by a woman, who wanted the netizens to help her in choosing a partner based on their salaries. The caption in the post read, "Most of the girls on twitter are single because some girls are talking to 14 guys at once."

Taking a clear dig at the woman, the Twitter handle highlighted the fact of women indulging in habits that ultimately tarnish the image of others as well. In the screengrab, the woman, along with a list of people with their salary, also wrote, "29 Female, B.Com, not working as of now. I am speaking to 14 guys through matrimony and confused, which one should I choose. Please help."
The list had 14 people in it where the woman did not disclose their names, and referred to them as 'Guy 1', 'Guy 2', 'Guy 3' and so on. Along with the salaries, the girl also mentioned the companies where the guys were working. She also wrote the names of the cities the men are posted in.
The troublesome take on the matter did not sit well with many people as they quickly reacted and had all kinds of comments to make. "I feel bad for the guy at BCG. He's probably going to end up being picked in this weird Swayamvar And will have to spend his life with her," a user commented.

"Alarming and a bit saddening. IMO, arranged marriage is more like a transaction nowadays. I choose to remain Single and happy until someone organically comes along," added another user. "Even seema aunty would give up bro," wrote a third user.
Meanwhile, some users pointed out the thin possibilities of the said men choosing her. "These guys have way more options than this unemployed girl but she thinks she gets to pick lol," the user wrote. "Bhai ye 25-30 lpa wale isse shaadi karenge?" asked another one. "None of those guys will choose you, dear Ma'am," said another.
