After Donald Trump's historic win in the US presidential election, Melania Trump expressed gratitude, stating that the majority of Americans had entrusted them with the responsibility to safeguard freedom.

Notably missing from the entire election campaign, this is her first message after Trump's win. Taking to X, Melania wrote, “The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this responsibility. We will safeguard the heart of our republic – freedom. I anticipate the citizens of our nation rejoining in commitment to each other and rising above ideology for the sake of individual liberty, economic prosperity, and security.”

Melania Trump served as the First Lady of the US during Donald Trump's first term (2017-2021). A former model, she worked in European fashion capitals before relocating to New York in the 1990s. She became a US permanent resident in 2001 and gained citizenship in 2006.
