Chinese Manager African Workers Video: Allegations of racial discrimination against China again flared up after a video showing a Chinese man hitting African workers with a whip went viral on social media on Friday. Journalist Dom Lucre, who shared the video on X, wrote in the description, that the workers are being treated like "trans-Atlantic slaves". In the video, the workers are sitting in what seems like a container, and the Chinese man is yelling at them.
Then he takes out a stick and starts beating the workers mercilessly while they cover their heads to avoid serious injury. English Jagran could not verify the authenticity of the video which has gained widespread viewership till yet, with over 12 million people reached.

Viewers have begun discussing on how it appears the Chinese are ‘fare more racist than the White man’ in Africa. pic.twitter.com/4zTnliEQea
"When compared to the rest of the world, the U.S. is not racist whatsoever. In America, there are equal rights. If this video was taken in the U.S. that man would be in jail right now. In other nations ... what that video shows is normal. We need to unite as a people," a user wrote, comparing the situation in the video with the racism encountered in the United States.
On the other hand, another user goes by the name, Vishwajit Patil said, "Why does Africa allow their resources to be taken too easily with hardly any benefit to them over and over again? It’s not like Africa doesn’t have the numbers to stop outsiders," though he was answered by a fellow X user with, "their corrupt politicians."
Similar incidents have also been reported earlier. In April, last year, the news agency ANI published a report shedding light on the mistreatment of African workers by Chinese project managers.
According to Geneva Daily, the report stated that local workers in Africa endure abuse, are coerced to work under harsh conditions, and receive wages much lower than what their contracts promises.
