Dallas Murder Case: An Indian-origin man, Chandramouli Nagamallaiah (50), was brutally beheaded during a violent altercation over the use of a washing machine in Dallas city of United States. Originally from Karnataka, Nagamallaiah was attacked by a Cuban immigrant in front of his wife and teen son at the Downtown Suites motel on Samuell Boulevard, east of Downtown Dallas, on September 10. The grizzly attack, which was caught on CCTV, shows the accused Yordanis Cobos-Martinez chasing Nagamallaiah with a machete in the motel corridor.

Nagamallaiah's son is spotted wearing a yellow shirt in the footage. He brings a baseball bat to help his father but by that time, Nagamallaiah's body appears motionless.

Dallas Murder Case Details

-Cobos-Martinez and a female colleague were told by the mortel manager Nagamallaiah not to use a broken washing machine while they were cleaning a motel room, CBS news reported.

-The attack happened after Cobos-Martinez became angry as Nagamallaiah had not addressed him directly but rather had passed the message through a female colleague, who acted as a translator.

-The video evidence clearly shows Cobos-Martinez exiting the room, taking out a machete “from his person,” and attacking Nagamallaiah, according to CBS news.

-“He chased him from 108 all the way to the office," another motel employee, who was also a witness, told police.

-Nagamallaiah’s wife and son tried to help him but Cobos-Martinez pushed them aside and continued the assault, as per the police. Cobos-Martinez continued the attack on Nagamallaiah until the victim’s head “was removed from his body.”

-Cobos-Martinez struck Nagamallaiah’s head twice into the parking lot before picking it up. He then carried it to a dumpster, and placed it inside.

-Cobos-Martinez has been arrested. He has admitted to the crime and charged with capital murder.
