New York Democrat Dan Goldman on Wednesday shared a new document related to Epstein, which was earlier redacted, making explosive claims on the House Floor. The document appears to contradict US President Donald Trump’s claim that he expelled convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for poaching his employees. 

The document is an October 2009 email, noting down conversation between Epstein’s attorney, Jack Goldberger, and Trump's attorney, Alan Garten. It was redacted by the Justice Department before being released in the Epstein files dump. The unredacted version has now been presented by Goldman, which mentions that Epstein was never asked to leave Trump's Mar-a-Lago club. In the email, while responding to whether Epstein was ever expelled from Florida, Garten said, “No he was not a member. May have been his guest. Never asked to leave."

Did Trump Fly On Lolita Express?

Similarly, Goldberger appears to summarise a “20-minute phone conference” with Trump, Trump’s attorney Alan Garten, and a person named “Brad". Goldberger wrote that the conference was conducted “in lieu of a depo.” The email also reveals that Trump travelled in Epstein's private plane, one of the accusations that Trump earlier denied. However, in the email, Trump said, “I’ve been on a lot of planes. May have been on his plane. No young girls on plane,” in his response to Epstein’s brother Mark’s claim that he flew on Epstein's plane, “Lolita Express”. 

When asked if he was ever at Epstein’s house, Trump said, “I may have been there with my wife." However, which of his wives Trump referred to is not explicitly mentioned in the email. In a post on X, Goldman alleged that Trump has lied about his close connection with Epstein, demanding all the files to be released. "Today, I exposed an unredacted email that clearly shows Trump has been lying about his connections to Jeffrey Epstein. There's no reason this should have been redacted, which is exactly why I showed it. Pam Bondi and Donald Trump: The gig is up. Release all the files. Now,” he stated.
