Nijjar, a pro-Khalistani terrorist, and head of the banned outfit Khalistan Tiger Force was shot dead outside a Gurudwara parking in Canada's Surrey on June 18 last year. The KTF chief was inside his truck when a white sedan approached and blocked his way outside the Gurudwara parking, in which the shooters were allegedly sitting.

Following his killing, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the hand of the Indian government and agencies, a claim which remains unfounded and evidence-less, however, the Indian government has called the allegations baseless.
