Hassan Nasrallah Death: Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was eliminated during the military's strikes in Beirut. The military group, Hezbollah, pledged to continue its fight against Israel and the defence of Lebanon. Nasrallah was reportedly at Hezbollah's main underground headquarters in the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut when the IDF carried out massive strikes.
"Our leadership is committed to continuing the jihad against the enemy and supporting Gaza and defending Lebanon and its steadfast nation," the organisation said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah has been eliminated following a deadly strike on the headquarters of the Lebanese militant group in the southern suburbs of Beirut late Friday. The IDF stated that Nasrallah will no longer be able to "terrorise the world".Nasrallah has been associated with Hezbollah since the terror group's inception in 1982, following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan condemned Israel's recent attacks in Lebanon as part of what he called an Israeli policy of "genocide, occupation, and invasion". He also urged the U.N. Security Council and other bodies to stop Israel.

In a post on X without naming Nasrallah, Erdogan said that Turkey stood with the Lebanese people and government, offering his condolences for those killed in the Israeli strikes, while saying the Muslim world should show a more "determined" stance.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas mourned the death of Nasrallah. His death marks a heavy blow to Hezbollah as it reels from an escalating campaign of Israeli attacks.
"Crimes and assassination by the occupation will only increase the determination and the insistence of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon to go forward with all their might, bravery and pride on the footsteps of the martyrs...and pursue the path of resistance until victory and the dismissal of the occupation," Hamas said in a statement.

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a statement calling out the Israeli offensive in Lebanon. The Iranian leader stated that the resistance forces in the Middle East will determine the fate of this region, with Hezbollah leading the way. He added that Iran and its proxies stand with and support the Lebanese group at the time of Israeli aggression.
Hezbollah News Updates: Iraq Condemns Airstrike
Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani condemned the airstrike and described it as a “crime” and criticizing Israel’s actions. Sudani, in a statement, referred to the attack as “a shameful attack” and condemned it as a breach of all red lines. He also described Nasrallah as “a martyr on the path of the righteous,” reflecting the broad regional opposition to Israeli military actions.
Israel News: Russia Condemns Killing Of Hezbollah Chief
Russia also condemned the killing and called it "yet another political assassination".
"This forceful action is fraught with even greater dramatic consequences for Lebanon and the entire Middle East," the ministry said in a statement.

"The Israeli side could not fail to recognise this danger, but took the step of killing Lebanese citizens, which would almost inevitably provoke a new outburst of violence. Thus, it bears full responsibility for the subsequent escalation."
