In a significant move aimed at enhancing aviation security, Iran's Civil Aviation Organisation announced on Saturday a ban on carrying electronic communication devices, including pagers and walkie-talkies, in both airplane cabins and checked baggage. Only mobile phones will be allowed in flights
This decision follows the implementation of similar restrictions by regional airlines, including Emirates, in response to last month's explosion in Lebanon that was linked to Hezbollah's communication devices.

Earlier on Monday, Iran lifted flight restrictions after determining that conditions were safe, thereby shortening the duration of cancellations previously announced by the country's Civil Aviation Organisation. Iran again imposed flight restrictions on Tuesday following its missile launch at Israel, an action that prompted a vow of retaliation from Israel.
In the latest attack, emergency responders reported that Israeli bombardments in the city of Jabalya in northern Gaza resulted in at least 22 deaths on Saturday.
Iran Seeks Regional Support To Mitigate Israeli Response
The Iranian government is highly anxious and has been actively pursuing diplomatic discussions with various Middle Eastern countries to assess whether they can mitigate the extent of Israel's response to its missile attacks earlier this month. If those efforts do not succeed, Iran is seeking assistance to safeguard itself, according to sources familiar with the situation who spoke to CNN.
Iran's concern arises from doubts about the US ability to persuade Israel against targeting its nuclear sites and oil facilities, as well as the significant weakening of its key proxy militia in the region, Hezbollah, due to recent Israeli military actions, according to the sources.
