Israel-Hamas War: A violent clash erupted between Israeli forces and Hamas terrorists in northern Gaza on Tuesday. Both sides described the clashes as a violation of the ongoing humanitarian pause. Three explosive devices detonated close to Israeli forces in two distinct places, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said.
"A number of soldiers were lightly injured during the incidents," the IDF stated as quoted by news agency ANI. In the meantime, a Telegram statement from Hamas accused Israel of a "clear violation ... of the truce agreement," calling the clash a "field skirmish" and a violation that "fighters dealt with."

"We are committed to the truce as long as the enemy has committed to it, and we call on the mediators to pressure the occupation to adhere to all the terms of the truce on the ground and in the air," Hamas said in the statement, ANI reporting citing CNN.
Ceasefire Between Israel And Hamas
The US, Qatar, and Egypt mediated the four-day cease-fire, which started between Israel and Hamas on Friday. During the course of a four-day ceasefire, Hamas will be releasing at least 50 Israeli hostages, while Israel will release 150 Palestinian prisoners (all are women and minors).
Truce In Gaza Extended For Two Days
On Monday, Israel and Hamas agreed to extend their ceasefire for two more days raising the possibility of additional hostage exchanges between terrorist groups and Israel. Since the militant group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack in southern Israel on October 7, some 240 hostages were captured by Hamas.
Over 13,300 Palestinians have died since the beginning of the conflict, the Health Ministry in Gaza, which is governed by Hamas, stated. On the Israeli side, around 1,200 people have died, most of them civilians murdered in the initial attack. Israeli forces have lost at least 77 soldiers in their ground attack.
