Pakistan Election Result 2024: Amid ongoing turmoil in Pakistan over delayed election results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called for a nationwide protest on Sunday to protect the sanctity of the vote as independent candidates are in the lead with 100 seats, ARY news reported.
The move came following the party's core committee meeting and it was decided to hold peaceful protests across the country at 2:00 pm today. Pakistan held its general elections on February 8 as it struggled with an economic crisis and terrorism in a profoundly polarized political environment.

- Amid reports of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidates leading or winning, several candidates moved to courts alleging that their defeat was a result of ‘rigging’, as reported by ARY news.
- Independent candidates associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also moved to the Lahore High Court challenging the results of the PP-164 and NA-118 elections, in which father-son duo Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz secured a landslide victory.
- Amid rigging allegations, the Election Commission Of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered re-polling in specific polling stations including including NA-88 (Khushab II), PS-18 (Ghotki I), and PK-90 (Kohat I).
- The Election Commission of Pakistan had said that independent candidates backed by Imran Khan-led PTI surprised voters by winning more than 100 seats, surpassing Sharif's PML-N, which won only 72 seats.
- The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the son of deceased prime minister Benazir Bhutto, won 54 seats, mostly in its stronghold in Sindh.
- Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), stated that his party has had no official conversations with either the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz or the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf. "I am in no position to confirm any such meeting. When all the results are in front of us, we will be in a position to engage with others,” he said while speaking to Geo News.
