Air travel in many parts of the world was affected in recent weeks as tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran continued. The escalating conflict continues to affect flight routes amid passenger demand and closure of air space in several countries. Airlines are avoiding risky airspace and flying through safe air corridors. Many airlines are adjusting their schedules as well. 

Russian Woman Gets 'VIP Flight' To Dubai

In the middle of these disruptions, one passenger had a very unusual experience asshe ended up getting a “VIP” flight experience, a plane all for herself. A Russian woman, Marina Gilla, shared a video on Instagram, describing her “VIP” experience in a Dubai-bound flight. She was travelling from Riga, Latvia to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on March 8. In a video, Gilla showed rows of empty seats across the plane, calling it a “VIP flight.” She wrote in the caption: “A VIP flight from Riga to Dubai.” While the text in her video read: “When you are the only passenger on the plane to Dubai on the 8th of March, 2026!” followed by a laughing emoji.

Netizens React To Viral Video

As the video went viral, it quickly grabbed attention due to its timing. Internet users engaged in discussion as several countries had closed parts of their airspace, and airlines restricted flights due to the ongoing conflict, which began on February 28. Many users faced cancellation or could not get tickets to and from several Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. However, this one woman got to travel to Dubai in a “VIP flight” leaving everyone shocked. A user wrote, “Change your title for: Got a private jet to Dubai! “ 

How Did She Get A 'VIP' Flight?

However, there is a twist in the case. The woman didn’t get a VIP treatment or “VIP flight” to Dubai, instead the aircraft ended up flying with just one passenger on board due to changing travel patterns. The woman just playfully captured the video and posted it online for a good laugh.
