In a dramatical post on his social media site Truth Social, US President Donald Trump praised the leadership of India and Pakistan for showing what he referred to as "strength, wisdom, and fortitude" in dialing back aggression that might have escalated into extensive conflict. His comments, come at a sensitive time when border tensions remain active and ceasefire violations by Pakistan continue along the Line of Control.

"I am very proud of the strong and unwaveringly powerful leadership of India and Pakistan for having the strength, wisdom, and fortitude to fully know and understand that it was time to stop the current aggression that could have lead to to the death and destruction of so many, and so much. Millions of good and innocent people could have died! Your legacy is greatly enhanced by your brave actions. I am proud that the USA was able to help you arrive at this historic and heroic decision." Trump said this on Truth Social.

Focus On Trade Boost And Kashmir Mediation Amid Ceasfire Violation

Trump abruptly declared his intention to “substantially” boost trade with both India and Pakistan despite having the ceasefire still on shaky ground. He offered to support a long-term dialogue on Kashmir, stating he would help both nations. "While not even discussed, I am going to increase trade, substantially, with both of these great Nations," US President posted this on social media.

"Additionally, I will work with you both to see if, after a “thousand years,” a solution can be arrived at concerning Kashmir. God Bless the leadership of India and Pakistan on a job well done!!!" He added.

Ceasefire Violation By Pakistan

Trump’s post came even as fresh ceasefire violations by Pakistan were reported in Jammu and Kashmir, putting question marks on the ground situation. Officials confirmed that intermittent firing and shelling have been observed in multiple sectors, even after diplomatic efforts by Trump. The two nations agreed to stop all military operations yesterday. This was decided in a high-level discussion between India and Pakistan's Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs). But just a few hours later, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed violations of the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. “For the last few hours, this understanding has been violated by Pakistan. The Indian Army is retaliating and dealing with this border intrusion,” Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said during a special press briefing. India has called upon Pakistan to take immediate corrective action. “This intrusion is extremely condemnable, and Pakistan is responsible for it,” Misri said.
