Jaishankar said his visit to Israel comes at an important time, providing both sides an opportunity to further shape the future direction of bilateral ties. Over the past decade, the India–Israel strategic partnership has expanded across defence, security, technology, trade, agriculture and innovation.

“The relationship today spans government-to-government, business-to-business and people-to-people cooperation,” Jaishankar said, describing the two countries as “complementary partners” with shared interests and capabilities. He emphasised that discussions during the visit would focus on preparing the partnership for emerging global and regional challenges.

The External Affairs Minister is scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to discuss bilateral cooperation as well as regional developments.
