Ather Energy, a leading electric two wheeler manufacturer in the country has teased its upcoming family oriented scooter. Ather is calling it the ‘Rizta’ and has mentioned in the teaser video that it will be delivered in 6 months. The teaser video of the upcoming Ather Rizta was shared by Tarun Mehta, Co-founder & CEO of Ather Energy on his X social media account. Recently, Ather launched the 450 Apex electric scooter for the Indian market at a price of Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

In the tweet, Tarun Mehta said, “With Rizta, we will be taking a big leap in comfort and safety. Our teams have been working on this for a while (this one has been on and off the table since 2019!) now and have pulled off some amazing integrations that are industry-first and will make your ride experience way better. Rizta will also continue to maintain the same quality and reliability that Ather’s other products are known for. We will be unveiling ‘Ather Rizta’ at ACDC 24 - Ather Community Day Celebration 2024.”

Not a lot can be figured out from the teaser video, however, it is noticeable that the upcoming Ather Rizta will have a wider body structure and stance. This will result in the seat on the Rizta to be broader, enabling it to cater a wider audience such as families in the electric two wheeler market. It is likely that the Ather Rizta will be built on a completely new platform, marking a significant departure from the 450 Series introduced almost a decade ago.

Ather Rizta - Price and Launch 

Price of the Ather Rizta and precise launch timeline is not known yet, however, it is expected that the brand will soon be unveiling more details about the new electric scooter.
