Ather Rizta Family Scooter: Ather, an electric scooter manufacturer, launched its family scooter Rizta in India today. With the Rizta, the company aims to prioritise comfort and convenience with the "largest seat in its segment" and 56L storage space (34L under the seat + optional 22L Frunk accessory).
For enhanced riding, the electric scooter maker introduced its traction control system - SkidControl, which controls motor torque to ensure traction on low-friction surfaces. For a more detailed look at the new Rizta, here are all the details about the price, features, colours, availability and more.
Ather Rizta Specifications
The Rizta gets a horizontal headlight cluster with DRLs and indicators. All models in the lineup can reach a maximum speed of up to 80kmph (and 0-40kmph acceleration in 3.7 seconds) and come with 'Zip' and 'SmartEco' modes. On the lines of the 450 series, the electric vehicle also gets MagicTwist, AutoHold, and Reverse Mode.
The new AtherStack 6.0 brings new features such as a new mobile app, WhatsApp on Dash, ping my scooter, live location sharing, auto reply to calls and Alexa. Buyers can also install a multi-purpose 18W charger (optional) under the seat to charge their electronics.

Among other features, the Rizta offers Find My Scooter, FallSafe, Emergency Stop Signal and Theft and Tow Detect. The Rizta S and Z (2.9 kWh battery) and Rizta Z (3.7 kWh battery) offer a 350W Ather portable charger and a 700W Ather Duo charger. The 2.9 kWh battery takes 6 hours 40 minutes and the 3.7 kWh battery (on the top model) takes 4 hours 30 minutes from 0-80 per cent.
Rizta buyers can also access Ather's 1800+ fast charging points for seamless charging outdoors. While the 2.9 kWh trims ship with an IDC range of 123km, the 3.7 kWh top-end model boasts 160km of claimed IDC range. It offers monoshock suspension, telescopic forks, 12-inch wheels, underbone chassis and a wheelbase of 1286mm.
Ather Rizta Price
The new Rizta will be available in two models and three variants: Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9 kWh battery and Rizta Z with a 3.7 kWh battery. The Rizta S (2.9 kWh) is priced at Rs 1,09,999 lakh (ex-showroom Bengaluru). The Rizta Z (2.9 kWh) and Rizta Z (3.7 kWh) will cost Rs 1,24,999 and Rs 1,44,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). All variants come with a five-year optional warranty program (Ather Battery Protect) to extend the battery warranty to five years/60,000km, subject to brand terms.
The Rizta S comes in three monotone shades: Siachen White, Deccan Grey and Pangong Blue. On the other hand, the Rizta Z comes in three monotone (Siachen White, Deccan Grey and Pangong Blue) and four dual-tone (Deccan Grey, Cardomom Green, Pangong Blue and Alphonso Yellow) colours. The bookings for the Rizta are open, and the deliveries will kick off in June 2024.
Apart from the scooter, the company also announced a smart helmet - Ather HALO. It gets Harman Kardon-powered audio, WearDetect technology, wireless charging, Ather ChitChat, and music and call controls from the handlebar of a scooter. The introductory price of HALO is Rs 12,999.
