New-Gen BMW 1 Series Unveiled: BMW has revealed the 2025 1 Series in the international market, showcasing a significant update to its exterior design. Interestingly, BMW has decided to drop the 'i' suffix for the petrol variants in some markets, and the diesel engine option will not be available in a few regions. However, there are currently no plans to introduce the 1 Series in the Indian market.

2025 BMW 1 Series - Exterior Design
Talking about its design, the new BMW 1 Series has undergone a complete revamp. It now features a sharper new grille design and slimmer bumpers. The range-topping M135 xDrive and M Sport trims sport distinct bumper and grille designs. Modern and sharp new alloy wheels adorn the sides, while the rear showcases divided LED tail lamps and a new bumper with a diffuser for the M Sport models.
2025 BMW 1 Series - Design Elements
Talking about its styling elements, the new BMW 1 Series now gets LED headlamps with adaptive function, and customers can opt for cornering lights and blue accents. In Europe, the optional M Sport Package and M Sport Design equipment enhance the car's dynamic appeal. These features include large air intakes on the front apron, pronounced side skirts and a three-dimensional diffuser element in the rear apron. The 2025 1 Series measures 4,361 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,459 mm in height.

2025 BMW 1 Series - Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the 2025 BMW 1 Series will share its platform with the latest BMW X1 and X2 models, as well as the MINI Cooper and Countryman. Unlike its rear-wheel-drive predecessors, this luxury hatchback will remain front-wheel drive. It is likely to be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing a power output of 298 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. This engine enables the hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds.
