BMW's all-new 220 M Performance Edition will be unveiled on September 7, 2023. The BMW 220 M Performance Edition will only have limited units available to be sold in India and will have the choice of a Black Sapphire metallic colour scheme only. It can be booked with a booking price of Rs 1,50,000 on BMW's official website as the manufacturer opened bookings for the new car on Thursday.

The new 220 M Performance Edition will share a lot of its components from the parts inventory of the already available M Performance series. It features a unique front grille, an Alcantara gear lever, and other elements that will distinguish it from the standard 2 Series.

BMW 220 M Performance Edition - Cabin

The 220i M Performance model will have a dual-tone black and beige interior. It is anticipated that it will include two 10.25-inch touchscreens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster. Additional features offered that are standard in a car of this segment include a wireless charger, a head-up display, dual-zone climate control, and a rearview mirror. In terms of safety, the car will be equipped with 6 airbags and seatbelts for all passenger seats.

BMW 220 M Performance Edition - Engine

The BMW TwinPower Turbo 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 176 bhp and 280 Nm of maximum torque, powers the BMW 220 M Performance Edition. BMW claims that it can attain an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

BMW 220 M Performance Edition - Price

The 220 M Performance Edition is estimated to cost a bit more than the M Sport Pro trim which is priced at Rs 45.50 lakh (ex-showroom) currently. It will only compete with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class limousine, priced at Rs 45.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
