BMW, a luxury car maker, has finally unveiled its highly anticipated X2 along with the electric iX2 variant. What’s interesting is BMW has brought back the coupe SUV shape and carries some of the elements from its younger sibling X1 and the iX1. The electric derivative and the ICE version both look the same. Here’s everything you need to know about the new cars.
BMW X2 And iX2: Exterior
The all-new X2 and iX2 get a revamped exterior which makes them different from standard BMW SUVs like X1. The BMW X2 gets a bigger hexagonal shape while the electric variant gets a blanked-off grille. Further, BMW has offered four-eyed daytime driving lights, split tail lamps, pull-up door handles, and a variety of alloy wheel sizes. Not only that, the cars are available in 11 metallic colours.

BMW X2 And iX2: Powertrain:
The recently introduced BMW X2 comes with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 156 PS, a diesel engine capable of producing 150 PS, and a top-end 2.0-litre petrol engine capable of producing 300PS. Every variant includes a seven-speed DCT.
The iX2 comes with a 64.8kWh battery pack and a dual motor capable of producing 313PS (including temporary boost) and 494 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h.
BMW X2 Features:
In terms of features, the BMW X2 shares some with the X1, such as a 10.25-inch curved display and Veganza and Vernasca leather upholstery. There are also choices for sports seats.
The car comes with some standard features like dual-zone temperature control, a navigation system, four Type-C ports, a Harman Kardon sound system, a mirror package, and a glass sunroof. Not only that, BMW has offered some premium features like ADAS, a heads-up display, surround view, parking and reversing assistance, and BMW Digital Key Plus.
BMW X2 Price:
The BMW iX2 2022 gets a price tag of Rs 1.16 crore.
