American automobile manufacturer Ford is likely to enter the Indian market soon. Ford is anticipated to bring back its Endeavour SUV to India, but this time it might be called the Everest, a name already used in some other countries. Earlier, Ford couldn't use this name in India due to trademark issues. Post its official launch, the Ford Endeavour (Everest) will compete with other SUVs in the segment such as Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq.
Ford Endeavour (Everest) - Design
Spy shots of the upcoming Ford Endeavour (Everest) spotted near Chennai reveal the design of the upcoming SUV. It features a square-shaped front end with a sizable grille, a horizontal bar across the middle, and new Matrix LED headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights at the front. The overall design appears more boxy compared to the Endeavour, accentuated by the upright rear-end and inverted L-shaped LED tail-lights.
Ford Endeavour (Everest) - Interior
Talking about the interior of the Ford Everest as seen in models that are on sale in international markets. It features a vertically oriented 12-inch touchscreen (10.1-inch on lower trims) running Ford’s latest SYNC infotainment software. Lower variants also come with an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, while the higher ones get a 12.4-inch unit. Considering it’s a CBU, Ford may bring the ADAS tech that is available with the Everest abroad, along with standard safety kit that includes nine airbags.

Ford Endeavour (Everest) - Engine Specs
Talking about the powertrain of the upcoming Ford Endeavour (Everest), specific powertrain for the India-spec Everest hasn't been finalised yet. However, internationally, Ford provides two options for diesel engines: a 2.0-litre with either a single turbo or twin-turbo setup and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. Additionally, there are two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions available in certain markets. In terms of transmission, there is a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 10-speed automatic gearbox available, depending on the engine.
