Honda City Hybrid Lineup Shrinks: Honda City Hybrid was launched in India in May 2022 and it has been a standout product, not only for the company but also in its segment. The Honda City Hybrid was one of the first mass-market strong hybrids in India. Post its launch, it was initially offered in two trims - V and ZX. The Japanese automaker has now decided to streamline the lineup by offering only the fully loaded ZX variant. The Honda City Hybrid’s top ZX variant is available in India at a price of Rs 20.55 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, sales for the City hybrid have been sluggish right from the start. This is mainly due to its price increase of over Rs 4 lakh compared to the regular City petrol, which makes the hybrid variant of the City slightly less affordable for many potential buyers. Despite Honda's efforts to introduce cheaper variants, sales have remained low, averaging around 350 units per month and totaling just around 2,000 units sold to date.
