Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024: Maruti Suzuki, one of the largest manufacturers in India is gearing up to launch the upcoming new generation of its popular hatchback model, the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The manufacturer has now confirmed that the upcoming next-gen Swift will be launched in May this year. This revamped model promises a fresh design, added features and a new 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift was first unveiled at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show and it has already hit markets like Europe and Japan before making its way to India.

New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Design
Talking about its exterior design, the new Swift boasts a distinct appearance with updated front styling featuring a revised radiator grille, sharper LED projector headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, and LED fog lamps for top variants. The side profile showcases new alloy wheels and relocated rear door handles, while the rear displays redesigned LED taillights and an updated bumper along with new colour options.
New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Interior
Moving inside, the cabin of the new Swift has been revamped significantly as it now gets a modern dashboard layout housing a standalone touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. The upholstery of the new Swift has also been upgraded.
New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Safety Features
In terms of safety, the new-gen Swift is equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP as standard, three-point seatbelts for all passengers and a reverse parking camera. However, features like the 360-degree camera and ADAS may not be included in the India-spec model.
New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift - Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift, it will be powered by a Z-Series 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, replacing the previous K12 unit. This new engine is capable of producing a power output of 89 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Along with this new engine, this powertrain will also incorporate a mild-hybrid technology that will be offered across all variants.
