New Renault Kwid 2025 Price: The Kwid is expected to receive a facelift soon, as part of Renault's newly launched 'Rethink Strategy'. First introduced in India in 2015 as the entry-level car, the Kwid was last updated in 2019. This means that the existing Kwid hatchback has been on sale in the country for about 6 years now, and it is time the hatchback was given cosmetic and tech upgrades.
New Renault Kwid: Spy Shot Exterior Details
The latest spy images of the Kwid facelift reveal a new grille and bumper, along with a reworked headlamp cluster (with halogen units) up front. The side profile is marked out by sharp fenders, squared-off wheel arches (with chunky cladding), flap door handles, and a slightly angled roofline. Wheels on the test mule are steel units. The rear fascia features Y-shaped LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), which seem to be borrowed from the new-generation Renault Duster unveiled in 2024. A rear wiper and a roof spoiler also form part of the list.

Inside, the test mule features a larger infotainment system with a differently designed UI (User Interface), as well as a new digital instrument cluster and steering wheel design. The cabin layout of the new Kwid is expected to take after the Dacia Spring EV, which was unveiled last year in Europe. Safety-wise, we expect the upcoming hatchback to get 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all, traction control, hill start assist, and ISOFIX mounts.
New Renault Kwid: Engine, Output
Under the hood, the new Renault Kwid is likely to retain its 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, albeit in a different state of tune. The engine in the existing iteration develops 67bhp and 91Nm, and is paired with either a manual or an automatic gearbox.
