Ola S1 X Price Reduced: Ola Electric, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has reduced the price of their S1 X electric scooter. The Ola S1 X is available in three variants - 2 kWh, 3 kWh and 4 kWh. Starting price of the Ola S1 X now stands at Rs 69,999 (ex-showroom) as opposed to the earlier Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom), marking a reduction of Rs 4,000 to Rs 10,000 across all three variants. Bookings for the Ola S1 X under the new prices have been commenced on the official website of Ola Electric. Deliveries for the Ola S1 X with the new prices are set to begin next week.
Ola S1 X New Variant-Wise Prices
This price revision is aimed at making electric scooters more accessible to consumers and encouraging the adoption of electric mobility in India. The Ola S1 X electric scooter is offered in three variants based on battery capacity. The 2 kWh variant is now priced at Rs 69,999 (ex-showroom) instead of Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom), while the 3 kWh variant is priced at Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom) instead of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom). The top-end Ola S1 X 4 kWh variant is available at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom) instead of Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom).
The Ola S1 X is positioned as the most affordable model in Ola Electric's S1 lineup, which also includes the flagship S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1X+. While these scooters have contributed significantly to the adoption of electric two-wheelers in India, Ola Electric is now eyeing a larger share of the rapidly growing market with their upcoming electric motorcycles. However, as per a report by Reuters, some analysts say the price cuts will hurt Ola. A Mumbai based analyst said, “Ola is already selling its higher variants of the S1 X range at a loss. Selling the base variant at a lower price is not feasible financially and this is not something they can do forever.”
