Porsche Cayenne Electric Price:  Porsche Cayenne Electric has been launched in India at Rs 1.75 crore (ex-showroom). This is the third electric car in the brand’s portfolio in the country after the Porsche Taycan electric and the Porsche Macan EV. The Porsche Cayenne has become the most powerful electric car offered by the brand in India. Let’s take a look at the features, design, and powertrain of the newly launched Porsche Cayenne Electric.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: Design

The Porsche Cayenne Electric has the same silhouette as its ICE counterpart, but it also features several design elements that differentiate it from the latter. The Porsche Cayenne Electric features a similar front fascia, but it gets a closed grille and movable air flaps that give it a distinctive look. It also gets air flaps on the sides for enhanced battery cooling. On the sides, it gets a thick body cladding running across the whole length of the SUV, including the wheel arches. The iconic flyline roofline is also visible from the side. At the rear, it gets a connected taillight setup with the illuminated Porsche badging. It also features a rugged skid plate along with active air dampers on the rear.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: Features

Inside the cabin, the Porsche Cayenne electric comes equipped with several advanced features. It gets a curved OLED display, which integrates controls and the instrument cluster. The Cayenne Electric also gets an optional display for the co-passenger, and customers can also choose between 13 interior colour options. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display with augmented reality, all-electrically powered seats with ventilation and heating options, ambient lighting, and an AI-powered voice assistant.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: Powertrain

The Porsche Cayenne Electric will be offered in a total of two trims: the standard Porsche Cayenne Electric and the top-spec Turbo trim. Both of these trims will be powered by a 113 kWh battery pack, and while the standard trim generates 402 bhp, the Turbo trim churns out 845 bhp. It is worth mentioning that the standard variant can generate a peak power output of up to 435 bhp in launch control, whereas the same figure stands at 1139 bhp for the Turbo trim. The standard variant has a claimed range of up to 642 kilometres, whereas the Turbo trim has a claimed range of up to 623 kilometres, once fully charged.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: Performance

The Turbo trim of the Porsche Cayenne electric has become the most powerful production car of the brand. Both trims of the Porsche Cayenne electric are available with an All-Wheel Drive configuration, and while the standard variant takes 4.8 seconds to go from 0-100 km/h, the Turbo trim does it in just 2.5 seconds. The Standard trim has a top speed of 230 km/h, whereas the Turbo trim can attain a top speed of up to 260 km/h. The Porsche Cayenne electric supports DC fast charging of up to 400 kW, and it also supports wireless charging with an 11 kW inductive charging support.
