River Indie Electric Scooter Gets 8-Year Extended Warranty – Cost, Coverage And More Details

River Indie Scooter Battery Warranty: River Mobility, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer, has announced that its Indie electric scooter gets an 8-year/80,000km extended warranty, beginning October 1, 2025. The extended warranty programme covers both battery and motor components and will take effect on new Indie bookings as well as existing Indies purchased after April 1, 2025. 

River Indie Extended Warranty: Costs

River's extended warranty programme will be available at Rs 8,399 plus GST for customers who purchased scooters after April 1. And those with River’s 5-year extended warranty can upgrade to the new 8-year/80,000km plan within a limited one-month window for Rs 3,399 plus GST.

River Indie Extended Warranty: Benefits

The 8-year extended warranty takes effect when the battery's State of Health (SOH) drops below 70 per cent or when the motor becomes inoperable, even after repair work, thereby ensuring reduced long-term expenses and more peace of mind.

River Indie: Price, Battery Specs

The Indie, the only product in River Mobility's lineup, is a maxi-styled electric scooter priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter gets a 4kWh LFP battery delivering a claimed range of 120km on a single charge, and features an all-digital instrument console, a USB charging port, and three ride modes (Eco, Ride, and Rush).
