Skoda Auto India has launched a new Matte Black edition of its top-selling sedan, Slavia. However, the Slavia Matte Black edition will only be available for the upcoming festive season. In the spirit of the upcoming festive season, Skoda has also revised the prices for its Kushaq compact-SUV and Slavia sedan. The revised prices make the base-model of Kushaq Rs 70,000 cheaper and the base-model of the Slavia Rs 50,000 cheaper. The prices for the Kushaq and Slavia will start from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the festive season.

Slavia and Kushaq - New Features
Skoda has also introduced new features for the top level Style trim of the Slavia and Kushaq. Most noticeable features are segment-first powered front seats, illuminated footwell area and subwoofer present in the boot of both the models. These features will also be available on the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo variant.
Skoda Slavia Matte Black Edition
Design - The Slavia Matte Black edition gets a new exterior Carbon Steel matte-colour scheme that is highlighted by gloss-black finishing on the door handles and wing mirrors. The chrome finish on the grille, bumper garnishes, and window lining remains unchanged.

Powertrain - The existing Skoda Slavia offers two petrol engines - a 999cc 3-cylinder turbo petrol unit and a 1498cc 4-cylinder turbo petrol unit. Both these engines are tuned to deliver a power output of 115 bhp/175 Nm of torque and 150 bhp/250 Nm of torque respectively. Available transmission options include 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter and 7-speed DSG. The Slavia Matte Black edition will offer all the existing powertrain options, but Skoda has not yet disclosed the specific pricing for this special edition model.
