Summer Car Care Tips For AC Vents: As the summer season has arrived, the air conditioning system in our vehicles becomes an integral component for driving comfortably in this scorching heat. As we are significantly dependent on the air conditioning systems in our car during summers, it's crucial to ensure that the AC vents are kept clean to maintain optimal performance and provide fresh, cool air during the hot months ahead.

Get A Foam Paintbrush And Homemade Cleaner
Buy a foam paintbrush from a store, they are cheap and easy to find. Make a cleaning solution using warm water and vinegar. Dip the foam brush in this solution and use it to clean between the slats of the AC vents. Rinse the brush as needed and finish by wiping the vents with a dry brush.
Replace The Cabin Air Filter
Most modern cars have a cabin air filter that's easy to replace. Check your car's manual to learn how to do it. Lower the glove compartment and remove the screws to access the filter. Take out the old filter and replace it with a new one. It's usually recommended to replace the filter every 24,000 km, especially if you live in a polluted area.
Clear Air Intake Vents
The air intake vents are usually near the windshield. Use a handheld brush to remove debris from these vents. Spray a sanitiser inside to keep them clean.

Disinfect AC Vents
Close all car doors and windows, turn off the engine and remove the key. Use a disinfectant spray to clean inside the AC vents. Wait a few minutes, then start the engine with the AC and fan on maximum. Let it run for about 10 minutes, then turn off the AC, open the doors and let the fan run for another 10 minutes to dry out any moisture.
