Tata Motors launched the facelift of its popular SUV model, Tata Harrier on October 17 for the Indian markets. This Tata SUV competes with other models in the segment like the MG Hector, Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700. Hyundai launched the Alcazar SUV for the first time in India in 2021 with the aim to capture the expanding SUV audience in the country. Let's take a look at the comparison of the Hyundai Alcazar and the Tata Harrier in terms of prices, features and performance.
Tata Harrier
Features - In terms of features, the Tata Harrier includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a bigger central touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay, driving modes and a wireless charger.
Performance - Tata Harrier SUV derives its power from a 2.0-litre diesel engine that generates a power output of 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Price - Tata Harrier prices range from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Alcazar
Features - Hyundai’s SUV Alcazar gets an array of features that include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, driving and traction modes, ventilated front seats, idle engine start/stop function and a voice-controlled panoramic sunroof.
Performance - Hyundai offers two engine options with the Alcazar; a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The turbo-petrol engine produces a power output of 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine generates 116 bhp and 250 Nm of torque while being paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Price - Hyundai Alcazar is priced between Rs 16.77 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.23 lakh (ex-showroom).
