Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra are the two biggest automobile manufacturers in India and they compete directly with each other with their rival models. Tata Motors launched the facelift of one of its popular SUV models, the Tata Harrier on October 17. Tata Harrier competes with the MG Hector, Hyundai Alcazar and Mahindra XUV700 7-seater and 5-seater variants in the popular SUV segment in India. Let's take a look at the comparison of the Mahindra XUV700 and the Tata Harrier in terms of prices, features and performance. 

Tata Harrier 

Features - Talking about the features of the Tata Harrier, it includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a bigger central touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay, driving modes and a wireless charger.

Performance - Tata Harrier SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a power output of 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Price - Tata Harrier prices range from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra XUV700

Features - Mahindra XUV700 gets a host of features that include a Sony sound system, dual 10.25-inch infotainment screens, dual- zone climate control, wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay and an Adrenox Connect app. 

Performance - The XUV700 is offered with two engine options - a petrol and a diesel engine. The petrol engine in the XUV700 produces a power output of 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque whereas the diesel engine generates 153 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. 

Price -  Mahindra XUV700 prices start from Rs 14.03 lakh and Rs 26.57 lakh (ex-showroom).
