Indian automakers are increasingly embracing electric vehicle (EV) technology, mirroring a global trend in the automotive industry. Tata Motors recently launched the facelifted version of Nexon EV, stirring up India's EV sector due to its impressive features and technology in the compact SUV category. It competes with rivals like the MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400 and Hyundai Kona EV. As the Tata Nexon EV is all set to showcase its presence on Indian roads, here's a detailed comparison between the Nexon EV and MG ZS EV regarding pricing, features and performance.

MG ZS EV vs Tata Nexon.ev - Performance

Regarding the performance of both EVs, the MG ZS EV is equipped with a 50 kWh battery pack set to deliver a claimed driving range of 461 km. The Nexon.ev on the other hand, comes in two variants, each with a different battery option. The Medium Range (MR) variant is equipped with a 30.5 kWh battery pack, while the Long Range (LR) variant features a larger 40.5 kWh battery. These variants promise impressive driving ranges of 325 km and 465 km respectively.

MG ZS EV vs Tata Nexon.ev - Features

The Nexon.ev boasts a range of premium features which include a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats with height adjustment, wireless charging, automatic climate control, a high-quality 9-speaker JBL audio system, a voice-controlled electric sunroof, cruise control, front parking sensors, a 2-spoke steering wheel, an expansive 12.3-inch touchscreen, an SOS call button for emergencies, an air purifier, Type-C ports for connectivity, and a blind-view monitor for enhanced safety.

The MG ZS EV offers an array of premium features as well that include a panoramic sunroof, advanced LED lighting, a digital key for keyless entry, the iSmart connected car technology, a fully digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, a powered driver seat and a host of additional amenities.

MG ZS EV vs Tata Nexon.ev - Prices

In terms of prices, the Tata Nexon.ev is way more affordable than the MG ZS EV as the prices for the Nexon.ev start at Rs 14.74 lakh and go up to Rs 19.94 lakh, whereas the costs for the ZS EV start at Rs 23.38 lakh and go up to Rs 28 lakh. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom.
