Tata's EV Initiative Gains Momentum: Four Models to Debut by Q1 2024

Tata Motors will significantly ramp up its EV initiative in the coming days. Up to four electric vehicles will be introduced by the automaker by the first quarter of 2024. By the end of this year, three of these four EVs would have been introduced. The Tata Nexon EV facelift variant, the current best-selling electric vehicle in India, is among the models. Three completely new electric vehicle models are also set to go on sale in India soon.

Nexon EV Facelift and Three New Models: Tata's Expanding Electric Portfolio

The Punch EV, Harrier EV, and Curv EV will be the upcoming electric vehicles from Tata Motors, India's leading EV producer. The Harrier EV was on display by Tata Motors at the Auto Expo 2023 earlier this year in Greater Noida. During the event, it had also displayed the Curvv EV Concept and its ICE variant.  When the Punch EV is introduced, which is based on the automaker's smallest SUV, it will also become the smallest electric SUV in India.

Punch EV: India's Smallest Electric SUV Joins Tata's EV Lineup

During its 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Tata Motors announced its forthcoming electric vehicle lineup. Tata Motors Chairman N Chandrasekaran predicted that shortly, half of the company's vehicles would be electric. Both Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Motors India have sizable plans for electric vehicles. We have already introduced a number of products. Then, Chandrasekaran continued, "Nexon's new, improved version will soon be released."
