This year alone, numerous new models have been introduced, painting a positive picture of the industry's growth trajectory. August has arrived, and the momentum remains strong. Brands are preparing for a flurry of launches by focusing on the upcoming holiday season, which typically has the highest annual sales figures.

Here are some of the upcoming EV scooters:

Ola S1X

The Ola S1X electric scooter, set to hit Indian streets on August 15, is one of the most anticipated launches this August. Following the success of the S1 Air, which cost Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), Ola Electric is preparing to redefine affordability with the S1X model.

Insiders in the industry are buzzing about the Ola S1X's projected starting price of less than Rs 1 lakh. This move is intended to broaden its appeal to economical commuters looking for a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional petrol-powered scooters.

Ather 450S

The Ather 450S, which is set to be released on August 11, promises to be a more affordable option in the e-scooter segment. This model will have a lower battery capacity than its counterpart, the 450X, and is expected to cost Rs 1.3 lakh ex-showroom. Notably, Bluetooth connectivity and a coloured dashboard are expected to be retained, though the exact display type has yet to be confirmed.

TVS Mystery EV

According to a report, TVS, best known for its popular iQube electric scooter, will unveil another electric marvel on August 23, says a report. Insiders speculate that it could be the TVS iQube ST, which has a large 5kWh battery. With an invitation to an "electric-flying launch that will defy the status quo in mobility," TVS hopes to re-establish itself in the electric scooter market.

Eblu FEO

Godawari Electric Motors has created a stir by announcing the release of its first e-scooter, the Eblu FEO, on August 22. The Eblu Feo, displayed as a sleek and classy prototype at Auto Expo 2023, is expected to have a range of 100 - 130 KM and a price range of Rs 1 lakh - 1.10 lakh.
