Toyota Hilux Assam Floods: The Toyota Hilux is known worldwide for its reliability and off-road capabilities. Often, videos of the pickup truck by Toyota surface on social media, and leave users in awe of its capabilities. Another such video was shared on the social media platform Instagram recently. It features the Hilux sailing through flooded roads of Assam. You can watch the video here:
The video was shared on Instagram by a user named Mrinmoy777, and the caption reads ‘The Hilux will never leave you alone’. The video has accumulated more than 1 million views so far, and it has been liked by more than 85,000 users on Instagram. Video features a red coloured Hilux, and it shows the roads filled with flooded water, which levels up to the front grille of the pickup truck.

The Hilux can be seen easily sailing through the flooded streets, as other vehicles are either submerged in water or are unable to move. A part of the video also shows the cargo bed of the Toyota Hilux filled with people as it is making its way on the flooded roads and streets. A user commented, ‘indestructible’, while another one praised Hilux by commenting, ‘When You Have the World’s Indestructible Truck’.
The Hilux from Toyota is available in India with a price tag ranging between Rs 30.05 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 37.9 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The Toyota Hilux draws its power from a 2.8-liter diesel engine, which generates 201 hp and 420 Nm of torque. The Toyota Hilux also offers a 4 wheel drive option, which makes it one of the most capable off-road pickup trucks in India.
