Ola Electric has revealed an electric scooter named Solo, which could possibly be the world's first fully autonomous scooter. This scooter was teased on the company's YouTube channel and social media pages. Bhavish Aggarwal, the Co-founder and CEO of Ola, also shared the scooter on his social media handle.

The Ola Solo was first teased on April 1 and many users considered it to be an April Fool's prank. However, the Ola Solo turned out to be an actual working prototype. In a video posted by Aggarwal, the electric scooter can be seen moving around without a rider in an enclosed area.

The Solo serves as a test platform for Ola's QUICKIE.AI software, which makes quick decisions. It uses an in-house developed LMAO 9000 chip to analyse real-time traffic data for navigation. Additionally, it features a 'Vishram' function enabled by Electrosnooze Quantum, allowing the scooter to find a nearby hypercharger and recharge itself. The scooter also boasts an adaptive algorithm called JU-Guard, which analyses ride patterns and considers obstacles like potholes and speed breakers for a comfortable ride. It also boasts a Human mode for interaction with riders.

Although the Solo is currently in the concept stage, Ola's existing S1 models are being used to perfect the autonomous technology. Specifications and launch timelines for the Solo are yet to be decided, as it involves up to Level 4 autonomous capabilities.
