Bihar Elections: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday took a jibe at the Congress in Bihar, hours before a joint press conference of the Mahagathbandhan in Patna. The saffron party attacked the grand old party after pointing out that its leader Rahul Gandhi's photo was missing from the posters for the press meet.

The sources said that the press conference was scheduled to formally announce Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav as the grand alliance's chief ministerial candidate for the Bihar election. However, ahead of the crucial announcement, the BJP highlighted RJD's dominance in the Mahagathbandhan.

BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia likened Tejashwi Yadav to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb over the issue. "After Aurangzeb, now Tejaszeb! There wasn't even this much insecurity for any emperor. National president fodder scamster Lalu (Prasad Yadav) and Rahul Gandhi, their pictures missing. Jungle Raj's legacy and Congress's status both out from the poster #Tejaszeb #BiharPolitics #CongressMuktBihar," Bhatia posted on X.

"Voting will be done on Rahul Gandhi's picture only and not on anyone else's picture. Pictures of all three leaders of the alliance should have been there. This is not right, and it will not send the right message. We can win Bihar only on the face of Rahul Gandhi. We have not other way to win here," he said.
