Bihar Industrial Corridor: The process of large-scale land acquisition has started with the aim of developing industrial corridors in seven districts of Bihar. Industrial corridors are to be developed in Nalanda, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Supaul, Katihar, Aurangabad and Gopalganj, jagran.com reported.
The Industry Department is trying to develop industrial areas in as many districts of Bihar as possible so that employment and investment opportunities are generated in these districts. At present, the target is to make Nalanda, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Supaul, Katihar, Aurangabad and Gopalganj the economic centres of Bihar.
Industrial infrastructure will be developed on 524.95 acres of land in Nalanda. 524.95 acres of land will be acquired in Harnaut and Chandi areas of Nalanda. Rs 2,64,65,000 will be spent on this. The industrial area being developed here will provide employment to the local people and better infrastructure to the investors.
700 acres of land will be acquired in Paru, Bhojpatti, Harpur and Vishnupur Saraiya of Muzaffarpur.
96.89 acres of land will be acquired in Mohanpur Mauja of Gauradih zone of Bhagalpur, on which the Industry Department will develop a new industrial corridor. This will strengthen the industries in the area. A large sum of money will be spent on the acquisition of 498.06 acres of land in Saraigarh-Bhaptiyahi and Pipra blocks of Supaul.
Infrastructure will be built by acquiring 252.30 acres of land in Mansahi zone of Katihar. 441 acres of land will be acquired in Kutumba zone of Aurangabad and 32.66 acres of land will be acquired in Vijayipur and Khiridih zones of Gopalganj. Rs 11.39 crore will be spent on the land acquisition scheme in Gopalganj.
