Following the recent rainfall on Dussehra, the Meteorological Department has issued a weather update for Bihar, forecasting significant weather changes across most of the state for the next 48 hours.

According to the department, the maximum temperature is expected to decrease by 1-3 degrees Celsius in most areas over the next two days. The forecast also includes a high probability of thunder, lightning and strong winds with speeds of 30-40 kilometres per hour in almost all parts of the state.

A detailed rainfall warning has been issued for several districts:

Extremely Heavy Rain: One or two places in the districts of Gaya, Kaimur and West Champaran may experience extremely heavy rainfall.

Very Heavy Rain: There is a possibility of very heavy rain in some parts of East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Rohtas, Aurangabad and Nawada.

Heavy Rain: A warning for heavy rainfall has been issued for the districts of Buxar, Bhojpur, Saran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Banka, Jamui, Jehanabad and Sheikhpura.

Advisories Issued:

In response to the forecast, the Meteorological Department has advised the public to remain vigilant and avoid non-essential travel. Residents in low-lying areas have been specifically alerted to prepare for potential waterlogging and flooding.

The local administration has been instructed to remain on high alert to handle any emergency situations. Farmers are also advised to take appropriate measures to safeguard their crops.
