A woman sub-inspector (SI) in Bihar’s Munger district has landed in trouble for making reels while on duty and posting them on social media. The Superintendent of Police (SP) of Munger Jaggunath Reddy, has initiated an inquiry into the matter and warned of action if she is found guilty.
The woman SI, identified as Pooja Kumari, was posted at Bariyarpur police station, a Maoist-hit area. She was seen making reels even during patrolling periods and uploading them on various platforms. One of her recent videos showed her dancing in the Rishikund forest area, a sensitive region where Maoist operatives may be active.
The SP said that such behaviour was not only unprofessional but also dangerous, as it could expose the movements of the police teams and make them vulnerable to attacks. He said that he had learnt about the woman SI’s reels and had ordered an inquiry to verify the facts. He added that if she was found guilty, action would be taken against her as per the rules.
