Patna Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Bihar, including Patna, will receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming days. The weather department stated that the rains, along with a gentle breeze, will provide relief to the residents from the scorching heat. It stated that the weather change will reduce the maximum temperature by two to three degrees Celsius, leading to convenience.

It stated that several regions of Patna, Araria, Purnia, and Kishanganj received light rain on Sunday, adding that major portions of Darbhanga and Madhubani are likely to witness heavy rainfall in the late hours of Sunday. It stated that while the maximum temperature was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday, the fresh spell of rains will reduce the temperature in these districts. The temperature in southern districts of the state has increased significantly in the past few days.

Light Rain To Reduce Temperature

The weather department stated that the weather is likely to change from April 27 to April 30 due to a western disturbance, adding that several districts will receive light rain along with cloudy skies and a gentle breeze. It further advised the residents to limit their unnecessary outings and follow the guidelines to avoid any inconveniences. The IMD stated that while the weather change will reduce the temperature, the temperature is likely to increase after the first week of May.

Rain Likely In Multiple Districts 

While providing details, the weather department stated that while several districts, including Patna, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzzafarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Sheohar, Samastipur, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, and Katihar, are expected to receive light to heavy rainfall from April 27 to 30, other districts, including Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Jehanabad, Buxar, Rohtas, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhabua, Aurangabad, and Arwal, are expected to receive light rain along with a gentle breeze on April 27 and 28.
