Gold Rate Today: The future gold price for April 4, 2025, hit a fresh record high on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Wednesday amid escalating uncertainty over the tariff war and its economic impact. The future gold price contracts hit a new all-time high of Rs 88,875 after the yellow metal opened high on MCX. At around 10:58 am, the gold future was trading at 88,875.0, up 0.17% as compared to its previous day's closing price.
Earlier this month, the future gold rate witnessed a roller-coaster ride before gaining momentum only from the last week. In February the gold price was on continuous growth due to heavy demand and geo-political conditions.

The price of gold in India has also increased in the retail market, with the price of 24-carat gold touching the Rs. 90,000 mark. Today, the price of 22-carat gold has increased to Rs. 82,900 per 10 grams, which is almost Rs. 400. At the same time, the price of 24-carat gold has increased to Rs. 90,440 per 10 grams, which is almost Rs. 400. At the same time, the price of 18-carat gold is Rs. 67,830 per 10 grams.
