Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday released the 15th installment of PM Kisan Yojana during an event celebrating the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas in Jharkhand's Khunti district. An amount of Rs 18,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was transferred digitally to the accounts of more than 8 crore farmers across the country.

The Central Government's agricultural welfare scheme was started in the year 2019 to provide financial assistance to farmers across the country. As per the scheme, an amount of Rs 6,000 is transferred to farmers' accounts annually.

Here Are Some Ways To Check If The Amount Is Credited To The Bank Account:

Cell Phone Messages: A message will be received by the beneficiaries of the PM Kisan scheme once the amount is credited to the account. Through these messages, you can also track which installment amount has been credited.

Passbook Updation: In case a farmer fails to receive a confirmation of the payment, they can get their passbook updated to check the latest transactions in their bank account.

ATM: A farmer can also check if the installment is credited by taking a mini statement from their nearest ATM, which shows the last ten transactions that have taken place in the account.

Phone call: A person might also call his bank directly to know if the installment has been credited to the account.

The Congress, meanwhile, questioned the release of the money just two days ahead of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, and wondered if it was "intentional".

While polling in Madhya Pradesh will be held in a single phase on November 17, in neighbouring Chhattisgarh, voting for the second-phase will be conducted. The first phase was held on November 7.
