DC vs SRH, IPL 2025: Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc etched his name in the history books on Sunday, becoming the first fast bowler to take a five-wicket haul for Delhi Capitals in Indian Premier League history.

The 35-year-old fast bowler was at the front of the bowling lineup for the Delhi Capitals against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, where he claimed awesome bowling figures of 5/35 in just 3.4 overs.

A devastating trio of crucial wickets from Starc saw the Sunrisers' batting line-up collapse. He started by clean bowling Ishan Kishan for a mere 2 runs, caught by Tristan Stubbs on the first ball of the third over. Two balls later, it was Starc's big one again as he removed Nitish Kumar Reddy ducked, with DC captain Axar Patel taking the catch.

Starc got his next victim in the form of Travis Head, caught by wicketkeeper KL Rahul after scoring 22 runs off 12 balls in his next over.

The speedster, who was bought by Delhi Capitals for a whopping sum of Rs 11.75 crores in the mega auction completed his maiden five-wicket haul in both IPL and T20 cricket with just two wickets in the 19th over.

He had Harshal Patel caught by Axar Patel for five runs, and then Wiaan Mulder was caught by Faf du Plessis for nine runs, rounding off an incredible performance.
