India have been dealt another injury setback ahead of the three-match ODI series against England, with all-rounder Harshit Rana ruled out of the entire series.
Harshit suffered a hamstring injury during the third T20I against England. The injury had already forced him to miss the remainder of the T20I series, and he will now also be unavailable for the ODIs.

The latest setback comes just weeks after Harshit returned to competitive cricket during India's tour of Ireland in June. Before that, he was sidelined for several months after sustaining a knee injury in February during India's training session before the T20 World Cup 2026, which forced him to miss the marquee event.

The knee injury also ruled him out of the IPL, where he was unavailable to represent the Kolkata Knight Riders. Now, another injury has interrupted his return, dealing a blow to both the player and the Indian team.
Harshit's absence adds to India's injury concerns. Earlier, the BCCI selection committee confirmed that fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy had also been ruled out of the ODI series against England due to injury. Shivam Dube was named as his replacement in the squad.
