IND vs SA 3rd ODI: Kuldeep, Prasidh Shine As South Africa Bowled Out For 270, De Kock Smashes Impressive Century

India vs South Africa 3rd ODI Updates: India bowled South Africa out for 270 in 47.5 overs on the back of incredible efforts from Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna in the third and final ODI match at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

Prasidh wrapped things up with Ottneil Baartman's wicket for 3. He finished with four wickets to his name for 66 runs in 9.5 overs. Kuldeep was the picl of the bowlers for the hosts, having taken a four-fer for just 41 runs in his 10 overs, whereas Arshdeep Singh and Ravindra Jadeja found a scalp each. This was the fifth time Kuldeep took a four-wicket haul against the Proteas in the ODI format, the most for an Indian bowler against any team in this format.

The left-arm spinner now has 36 wickets under his belt in 16 matches at an average of 17.58 as he maintained his promising record in Visakhapatnam.

"The wicket is good to bat on. Because of the rule change, there's only one ball after 34 overs, the ball was holding, and it wasn't easy to score runs. I mixed it up with the variations, bowling scrambled seam, leg-spin, googly, flipper, just trying to vary the variations," Kuldeep said in the mid-innings chat.

South Africa were put into bat first and had a disappointing start as Ryan Rickelton was dismissed for 0 in the very first over of the match. The recovery was made by Quinton de Kock and skipper Temba Bavuma as they stitched a remarkable partnership of 113 runs for the second wicket. While India bounced back with a few wickets in the middle, De Kock went on to smash his 23rd ODI century, his 7th in the format against India.

De Kock played a remarkable knock of 106 runs in 89 balls on the back of eight fours and six sixes, whereas Bavuma made a promising contribution of 48 runs.
