India vs South Africa T20 World Cup: India’s pacer ace Jasprit Bumrah's masterful execution of a cunning yorker proved too hot to handle for South Africa opener Quinton de Kock, as the Proteas opener's innings met its nemesis in their Super 8 clash in the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

De Kock's innings was brutally cut short by Bumrah's 137kph yorker, smashed into the leg stump, the ball's subtle deviation and dip proving too crafty for the opener, who failed to adjust his feet and played a loose shot in the second over of the innings.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first, with Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram opening the innings. The team suffered their first blow in the form of de Kock, who was dismissed by Bumrah for 6 runs.

In his next over, Bumrah struck again, dismissing Ryan Rickelton with a clever slower ball that pitched outside leg. The ball curved into the middle stump, the batter mistimed his lofted shot and handing an easy catch to Shivam Dube at mid-off.

South Africa made four changes from their previous game playing XI, with Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, David Miller, and Marco Jansen coming back. India are unchanged as they head undefeated into the match.
