India's T20I Squad for Australia series: India's T20I squad for the upcoming series against Australia was announced on Saturday with Suryakumar Yadav continuing to lead the side. India will take on Australia in a five-match T20I series, starting from October 29.

The 16-member squad almost includes all the players that were part of the recently concluded Asia Cup 2025, but the only inclusion was Nitish Kumar Reddy, who has made his comeback to the side. He has replaced Hardik Pandya, who sustained a quadricep injury and has been rested.

The star all-rounder Washington Sundar has also made his return. Sundar and Reddy recently were part of the Indian team in the first Test against the West Indies.

This will be India's first T20I assignment after lifting their ninth Asia Cup title and one of the crucial ones before the T20 World Cup 2026.

Jasprit Bumrah continues to be part of the T20I side and was not named in the ODI squad for the Australia tour. Interestingly, there wasn't any place for Shreyas Iyer once again, while Shubman Gill continues to be the vice-captain of the T20I side.

India’s T20I squad: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill (VC), Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Sanju Samson (WK), Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar.
