India will be playing a game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 while Australia vs Pakistan could be the other encounter to watch out for at the famous venue.

The famous battle between Venkatesh Prasad and Aamir Sohail during the quarterfinal match between India and Pakistan in the 1996 World Cup became an unforgettable part of the journey of this stadium in Indian cricket.

Chinnaswamy stadium also witnessed Kevin O'Brien's famous knock that gave Ireland a massive success over England in the 2011 ODI World Cup. India's high-scoring tie against England came at the same venue during the same tournament.

After being granted 'Test Status' by the ICC in 2017, Afghanistan played their first-ever test match at this venue against India.

With a capacity of 40,000 spectators, this stadium has been home to IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) since 2008. It is known for the high-scoring encounters across formats and is turned with a flood of Reds when RCB play here. The venue is also famous for being a close-to-heart venue to the former India and RCB captain Virat Kohli who has scored loads of runs during his IPL career, including some memorable partnerships with Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers
