Pakistan vs Bangladesh ODI Series: Pakistan have lodged a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and match referee Neeyamur Rashid over a contentious DRS call in the final over of the third and final ODI of the three-match series against Bangladesh.
According to a report in Cricbuzz, Pakistan lodged a complaint, taking issue with on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena's decision to allow Bangladesh to review a crucial call on the penultimate ball, allegedly flouting established protocols.
The final ODI between Bangladesh and Pakistan, taking place at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, concluded amid controversy, with Shaheen Afridi expressing his frustration by swinging his bat after being stumped off the last delivery.
"The Pakistan team management believes Bangladesh took the review after a replay of the delivery flashed up on the big screen, and as a result came up (to the referee) after the game and informed (him) about their observation," a source confirmed to Cricbuzz.
"Pakistan felt Bangladesh were allowed to review outside the maximum 15 seconds (window) within which such a decision must be made," he said.
Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson reportedly held a meeting with ICC match referee Neeyamur Rashid, opposing on-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena's decision to permit Bangladesh to review a call on the penultimate ball.
With Pakistan needing 12 runs off two balls, Rishad Hossain's fifth delivery turned away from Shaheen Afridi down the leg side, prompting umpire Kumar Dharmasena to signal it a wide. Bangladesh, however, reviewed the call, seeking an LBW, despite the DRS not applying to wide deliveries.
Replays showed a bat spike on UltraEdge, driving the wide to be overturned. Though Bangladesh lost the review, the reprieve proved decisive.

Afridi's stumping off the final delivery sealed an 11-run triumph for Bangladesh, securing a 2-1 series victory.
In his post-match address, Shaheen Afridi chose to focus on the positives, making no mention of the contentious DRS call, congratulating Bangladesh on ending an 11-year wait for an ODI series win over Pakistan.
